If you are in sales, than you have heard this many times. So why is it that the fortune is in the follow up? It is because they may not need your service right now so you want to stay top of mind so that when they do realize they are ready to buy your product or service, you are who they think of first!

 

Therefore it is so important that you design your own follow up recipe or plan so that you can easily track who you have connected with and where they are in your sales funnel.  If you don’t come up with a plan, someone that needs your product or service will fall thru the cracks and someone else in your industry may be taking care of their needs instead of you, even though your customer service might be more of what they needed – they had to go with who they could.  Clients are busy, they need you to make it easy for them so that they can carry on with their own business and lives.  So you have to do the work for them, in order to resolve their problems.

In order to know WHEN to follow up with your future clients, it is important to understand your ideal clients and what if going to be effective for them. It is also important to realize that how you follow up, timing, systems, and professionalism will have a huge impact on whether they decide you are the right choice for them!

 

Timing is everything.  Well, professional etiquette and discernment have a huge part of it too!  Let’s start with timing.
